ABSTRACT
Introduction Bone disease was recognised as one of the major complications of renal failure shortly after the introduction of haemodialysis as a treatment for end stage renal disease. It is considered by some to be an unavoidable sequelae to treatment, and is apparent to some degree in all patients with end stage renal disease and many with chronic renal failure.
