ABSTRACT
Forensic science evidence should be demonstrated to be reliable and valid – essentially, demonstrate the quality. The quality of a forensic examination is a matter of consideration for every case. Quality failures may be encountered in forensic DNA profiling evidence. Quality control systems in laboratories aim to mitigate and monitor such failures.
