ABSTRACT
The therapist should not proceed further until his/her waiting list meets local standards, he/she has factored in the three-month run-in period, the staff are well prepared and signed up, and the therapist had made plans for monitoring and evaluation. Additionally, the therapist needs to know how he/she is going to engage service users and service providers, has a firm date for review, and has communicated his/her plans to key stakeholders, including referral sources, staff and patient groups.
