ABSTRACT
Merle was sitting back in the chair, feeling positive and relaxed, more so than she had in any previous counselling session. She wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was something about feeling heard, feeling respected. Maybe it made her feel differ ent, more confident somehow. At least, that was the conclusion she had drawn, and she realised that a lot of this was due to Alec’s attitude. She felt she wanted to say something to him.
