ABSTRACT

Mark attended the session; it was his last one. The final day was spent processing endings, and to begin with Mark was quite withdrawn. The session came to an end and Mark headed off, after giving Helen a hug. Mark's mother overdoses; he calls the day programme who liaise with Mark's care co-ordinator. The outreach worker goes to the hospital to be with Mark and to try to offer him support through it. Mark is unclear what to do, whether to continue with his plans, or stay. Mark goes to the day programme in the afternoon and they vote on it. He also spends time with Judy from the programme; they get on really well. He talks to Helen and realises he has to move away. He talks to his mother- it is an emotional conversation. He has decided to leave.
