A poem: becoming history

And what of this I write, like a river flowing at a fast rate, for world events are moving at such a pace to keep up one must refer to the day’s dictate; for long gone is the need to contemplate, speed is upon us and so are events as the tipping point has arrived and we must run to keep pace with Nature as she rises to tell us we have too much stuff. So reader beware I am writing for the day which will become part of history as my words flow across the page.
