ABSTRACT

As such we consider a ministerial rescript concerning women teachers, which gives them many rights they never had before, showing the tendency to put them by and by on equal -terms with men teachers. Secondly, the erection of colleges attached to girls' higher schools, giving them the character of colleges with the view of later on introducing Latin and Greek as soon as women are admitted to medical studies and examination. You see by that, that even our government is becoming friendly to the idea of admitting women to medical studies, and this is more than we dared to hope a year before.
