Such gardens still continue, but now between the heavy pressure of the times on all who hold land, and the facilities provided by Parcel Post everywhere, and by light railways in some places, gardens once all for pleasure are becoming for profit too, and many a woman is adding, by means of her flowers, here a few, and there many pounds to her income.
