ABSTRACT

Dear Madam,—On 15th November, 1889, you published in the Englishwoman's Review the names of twenty women who were admitted to their Freedom in the City of Dublin. I have just now been examining some of my loose papers, and have found amongst Dublin Freemen a few additional female names, which I now send, in case you think it worth while supplementing the former list. I copied the names of upwards of five hundred people who had obtained their Freedom in Dublin from the old books, and these ladies were included. I had never before met with similar instances, but indeed my searches have been very limited.
