C"'hurch women should take an interest in it as well as men. Women were far more likely to penetrate aU classes of society than men. ThiH temperance work was not mainly done by speakers on platforms at public meetings ; it was accomplished for the most part by quiet persistent labour in people's homes. Women were the agents to do this work; aud he hoped that a larger number of ladies in the upper classes would join the society, and thereby encomage it.
