ABSTRACT
On February 21st a deputation from the Minors' Protection Joint Committee, waited on the Home Secretary to discuss, with him, the question of protecting Young girls. This Committee was formed in February, 1061883, at a Conference summoned by the Council of the Metropolitan Association for Befriending Young Servants, and it includes delegates from the following societies:— Metropolitan Association for Befriending Young Servants. Reformatory and Refuge Union. Female Mission to the Fallen. Young Women's Christian Association and Institute Union. Nine Elms Prison Mission. Young Women's Help Society. Female Preventive and Reformatory Institution. Emigration Society for Destitute Little Girls. Lambeth Board of Guardians. Middle Class Emigration Society. Bridge of Hope Mission. Charity Organisation Society. South Kensington Association for Care of Friendless Girls. Marylebone and Paddington Association for Care of Friendless Girls. Moral Reform Union. Young Men's Friendly Society. East London Preventive Association. Associate Institution for Improving and Enforcing the Laws for the Protection of Women.
