ABSTRACT
A novelty has occurred at the last French Municipal Elections. The ladies presented themselves as candidates for the municipal council. The first was at Houquetot (Senie Inferieure) where she obtained a large number of votes—eight more than the majority. As women are not eligible, a second return was necessary. The second lady was in Lot et Garonne, and she obtained 34 votes.
