A French journal, L' Union des Femmes Françoises, gives a description of Mdlle. Antoinette Lix, "ancient lieutenant" in the Polish army, and "ancient franc tireur" during the war of 1870, "who has just received a medal of honour from the Society for l'Encouragement au bien.
