ABSTRACT

Municipal Elections,—The Times says; " Boulogne-sur-Mer, Sept. 19th. The Tillages of Nielles-les-Bléquin, between Desvres and St. Omer, in the Pas-de-Calais, has just distinguished itself by the returns of its élections municipales. At the elections held in May the Conservative list passed intact, but was on petition declared void on account of corruption, so last Sunday it took place afresh, and 487though the Conservative party were again returned a few dames-républicaines polled a number of votes, which shows that even the outlying village of Nielles-les-Blequin has declared in favour of woman suffrage."
