ABSTRACT

The Exhibition of Women's Industry in Bristol, for which an active committee are making arrangements, and which will be held early next year, promises to be successful and of high interest. The promoters are desirous that the principal feature of the Exhibition should be specimens of such works as illustrate the progress made by women in industries demanding special technical and artistic training. Painting, sculpture, wood engraving, wood carving, modelling, designs for and articles of household furniture, designs for decorative purposes and for textile fabrics, lace, various sorts of needlework, will all be welcome; and samples of work done at Technical and Industrial Schools, not only in England, but in foreign countries, are invited, it being understood that only work undertaken with a professional object is desired.
