ABSTRACT
We perceive the world by means of successive sensory samples. In vision, this means by sequences of views. Most view sequences are obtained by the viewer's own perceptuomotor acts. Some view sequences are given to the viewer by a filmmaker, and these often consist of sequences of nonoverlapping views.
