ABSTRACT
In the following article written for Collier’s Magazine six years after the London Pan-African Conference, Du Bois repeats his famous epigram: “The problem of the Twentieth Century is the problem of the colour line.” He also argues that the “Negro Problem” in the United States is actually a global one. Remarkably prophetic, Du Bois explains that in future the “White” race and the nations of the world will have to deal with the “awakening” and empowerment of the Yellow, Brown, and Black peoples of the world.
