ABSTRACT
New Orleans is a major tourist destination in the United States, for visitors who love to wander around the French Quarter and who are attracted by the ambiance of the city, its many lively music clubs, bars and wonderful restaurants. In New Orleans one can attend a philharmonic orchestra concert, go to the ballet, attend an opera, see legitimate theater productions, go to a New Orleans Saints football game, listen to jazz in a bar, and take river cruises on the Natchez steam boat. New Orleans is one of the top ten tourism destinations in the United States. New Orleans provides for visitors, there is a festive quality to the city in the evenings, when people fill the music clubs in the French Quarter. One can hear music from the numerous bands in the bars, and people wander around Bourbon Street, from bar to bar, with their drinks in hand.
