ABSTRACT
The lecture became the mainstay of university education when class sizes, especially at the introductory level, began to increase. One can try to hold a discussion with three hundred people, but it is hardly satisfying. Large classes will always be a part of the experience, especially in research-oriented universities. All teachers should be prepared to engage large classes in as effective a manner as possible. Make the large classroom a livelier place for learning.
