ABSTRACT
The list corresponds with that of the unpublished diploma of 112, except that in the Gytir diploma ala I Batavorum milliaria c.R. has left the list and its place as first ala has been taken by I Ulpia contariorum milliaria whilst I Call1lelle!atium makes up the complement of five alae, in third place. Since this diploma belongs to AD 116, the qualification expressed concerning the
origin of ala I Ulpia contariorum in note 17*86 above is still pertinent.
