ABSTRACT

Experimental or survey research projects can often be carefully planned by outlining the nature of the statistical design and analysis, by presenting the research questionnaire, test instruments. A human science research proposal may be best prepared by presenting in narrative form an introduction to the nature and significance of the research question. The research plan may be able to offer a tentative discussion of the themes that are emerging on the basis of the preliminary work, and one may be able to indicate what scholarly sources will be studied and how these sources relate to the fundamental research question. The tasks and challenges implicit in human experiences are to educate school children, to help abused youngsters, to minister the sick, to give psychological care. In conceiving and planning a human science research study, the context needs to be articulated since context places certain limitations on the general applicability and acceptability of methodological procedures.
