As the legal landscape summarized in Chapter 2 and the museum’s ethical and institutional considerations served as the foundation of the policy drafted in Chapter 3, the same is true for the implementation of this policy. Meaningful policy adoption requires both a clearly articulated and customized policy as well as an equally well-defined and documented acquisition review procedure.
