ABSTRACT
The analysis of any prehistoric basketry assemblage involves three operations: classification, description, and interpretation. Analysis of miscellaneous constructions completes the classification phase and the final two operations, description and interpretation, may be executed. Rather than discuss them in the abstract, I have elected to employ the basketry assemblage from Antelope House as a case study (Adovasio et al 1976).
