ABSTRACT

The aims of the Boss' Action Plan are to enable and engender the transformation from a less effective Current State to a more optimised Future State. The Action Plan is divided into the three Everyday Sustainability areas of Technology and Capabilities; People and Behaviour; and Process Management, together with an overall policy and planning. Signs of poor management can act as a mirror to the way the organisation functions. Analyse – What is causing the poor management? This brings us back to the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control analysis of finding the likely causes and the Root Cause. Control – This is a critical issue in looking at changing strategic directions towards Everyday Sustainability. The objective is not giving up or sliding back into old practices. Everyday Sustainability is not a fad for this year; it is a way of working that links good sustainability outcomes with improved efficiency and effectiveness.
