Why This Works-Smooth-On® FlexFoam-iT!® III expands 15 times its initial volume. It rises and cures quickly to a solid flexible foam. Smooth-On® FlexFoam-iT!® III is the lowest density foam and expands the most. It is important to note that tinted Gel Wax® will bleed into the Smooth-On® Flex-Foam-iT! III if the foam isn’t sealed. Use Universal® Mold Release followed by Ease Release® 2831 to release the urethane foam from most surfaces. Don’t use Universal® Mold Release by itself, or any other silicone-based release agents. It will collapse the foam according to the Smooth-On® website.
