Why This Works-Smooth-On® Encapso® K is a water clear encapsulation rubber. It is a two-part liquid mixed together in equal parts. It cures to a soft rubber texture. It has a 2-hour pot life and takes 24 hours to cure. Without any colorant, it is clear as water. It lasts a long time. It is also UV-resistant and easy to color. After it is cured, you can shave the Encapso® K to look like broken glass, diamonds, or ice. You can add color to it with Silc Pig® or Ignite® color pigments from Smooth-On®. Encapso® K can be removed by cutting or crumbling it away. If you want to remove it from a glass object, simply coat the glass object in petroleum jelly or Ease Release® 200 before pouring the Encapso® K.
