ABSTRACT

Many organizations have vaguely defined security programs that attempt to protect unknown vulnerabilities from unknown threats.* In order to effectively protect people, assets, and property, organizations have to understand what their risks are and where they are vulnerable. Unfortunately, we have found that most organizations do not have these critical pieces of information. The logical starting point on the way to a clearly developed security program is to define soft targets, active shooters, and workplace violence to ensure that everyone understands the topic. From there, training and awareness
