ABSTRACT
T h e strange form which the Bihar earthquake has taken has expressed itself in the very soil itself, whereon the villagers depend for their daily bread. Not only has the earth been upheaved for miles in some directions and cracked in others, but large regions have been rendered practically useless for cultivation owing to the eruption from below the ground of immense volumes of sand.
