ABSTRACT
In his concluding chapter Krein offers a short summary of each chapter in the book. He also provides a short list of some of the reasons that we are attracted to nature sports that he has discussed in the book. These include: nature sports giving us an opportunity to experience nature in a complex interactive way; nature sports providing an alternative to a career- or family-oriented consumer lifestyle; nature sports providing a response to the absurdity of human existence; and nature sports giving participants opportunities to have profound active and embodied aesthetic experiences.
