ABSTRACT
G O D said to Azrael, ‘Marshal of souls, out of all the sorrowful ones whom did you pity most?’
Azrael replied, ‘My heart burns with anguish for them all. But I fear to neglect the Divine command, that I should say, “ Would that God might make me a sacrifice of this noble youth!” ’
God said, ‘For whom did you feel the greatest pity? For whom did your heart burn and broil the most?’
