ABSTRACT

Deconstruction assumes that every cultural human production obeys implicit economic rules and that they mostly serve as an expression of particular desires—unity, origin, and uniformity. The Talmud traditionally emerges as the ‘Absolute Book’ in Judaism, as it exactly satisfies these desires. Accordingly, I maintain that deconstruction can aptly be used as a ‘method’ for examining texts on account of a specific set of philosophical presuppositions—by means of a complex interaction with Gender Studies.
