ABSTRACT

Change should always occur within an organisation in order to achieve something which will help to accomplish the organisational goal. The change process is usually developed and led by a manager in the organisation, and it takes place over a period of time which will vary according to what sort of changes are being made. Change management is one of the hardest parts of any manager’s role, as ensuring that change happens requires managers to invest a great deal of time and energy in the process. While change management may look and feel like a long-drawn-out process, managers in child-centred settings can use it to help their team feel supported and valued through the process. Managing change needs to be approached like any other sort of project, with careful planning, a clear programme of events that need to happen, the involvement of others and more time than you probably originally thought it would take.
