Ruskin greeted us very kindly indeed, then asked about my health most kindly. I wish I could tell thee all we said, still more that thou could have seen his face. We spoke very much of faith, of what it was impossible to doubt; he spoke very beautifully, of course, very sadly, but there seems to me matter of deep thankfulness on the whole.
