ABSTRACT
We talk about the education of childhood as if childhood were the time of education, when, after all, it is manhood when the noble kind is possible. We mould children almost like clay, and like clay untried in the fire; another may come and mould them into vessels of dishonour, only there is a great Potter over all Who watches the making, and will try them in the fire.
