ABSTRACT

All this will blow over and leave right and truth and all things clear, and the sense of pain will die away, and leave all peaceful. I think one is meant to use all blessings that come to one, not to reject them, but to make them one's own, in the sense of their being part of one's life, even after they are gone. The memory that all things must pass away, which belongs, in part, to everything here, is one we must not lose, but then, beneath every visible thing that passes is the spiritual one, which never should pass; and while we cling to this, we need not fear a deeper sense of loss than is good for one.
