ABSTRACT

I have the prospect of what is more precious to me than comfort or ease—a little more regular paid work, and such delightful work, teaching drawing! You hardly know how solemnly I feel about money, so that the want or possession of it are serious lessons to me. I try to read their meaning, and say: 'See, this was wrong, this was careless; or in this you listened to God's voice, and He is blessing you.' I feel in all that concerns money how life and hope are untouched by troubles, and that when my efforts are crowned with success it is a sign that my desires have been in accordance with God's will.
