ABSTRACT

The illness is a word meant to bring some message to her, and those who love her. What mighty Love has given our Father the entire knowledge that teaches Him when He shall say: 'Remember that thou wilt come to me.' How entirely it must make us trust Him in that time when He shall say 'Come to me.' Some great woe escaped, some bitter lesson to be taught, some blessed reunion with those who have gone before, and a great heart-hunger of those who are left behind—these and better things than we have dreamed He may mean. Oh, Mary, I hardly dare write to thee, when I think to what voice of God thou mayest be listening.
