ABSTRACT
I wrote to tell Ruskin how much I thought girls wanted teaching and rebuking, and how very much I thought we wanted protests against the tolerance of their vanity and foolishness, etc.; how I thought that they wanted to be told that 'wild, unmanageable feeling' was their curse, from which they ought to free themselves.
