ABSTRACT
In a certain tsardom, in a certain land, there lived and dwelt a very rich merchant. He had a single daughter, Anastasiia the Most Beautiful, who was just about five years old. They called this merchant Marko and nicknamed him “the Rich.” This Marko simply could not endure beggars. Whenever they would come up to his window, he would order his servants to chase them away and sic his dogs on them.
