ABSTRACT

There lived and dwelt this man and his wife. They had two daughters and a boy Ivashka. So the parents took a trip for the holiday and ordered the girls to look after the boy. Yegibova lived in the woods there. Then one of the daughters carried the boy out onto the porch. She carried him out and went off herself to play with her dolls with some of her girlfriends. So then Yegibova flew overhead in her wooden mortar, sweeping her traces away with a rye stook. She grabbed the boy and carried him off. Well, the girls did wail and cry. The older Natasha ran off to Yegibova to take back the boy. She ran and ran and there stood a big campfire.
