ABSTRACT
An old man and old woman lived and dwelt in poverty. The old man had a son. The old man went with his son to cut wood. They went once to cut, then a second time, but there was nothing to eat. The son said, “Well, father, we’ve been cutting wood these days, but there’s nothing to eat. You go hire me out somewhere. You can eat my wages, and I’ll eat at the master’s.”
