ABSTRACT
A mother lived with her son. So now, she lived with her son and they went all the time to the church to pray to God. And there were three maidens there, and all these maidens went to the church. The mother and the fathers never let the daughters stray far, they just let them go to the church. So once they came into the church again and one sister intended to say, “Oh, Lord God!” (and it was once when a man glanced up and noted that the woman who always went everywhere with her son was there). And so she intended to say, “Oh, Lord God!” but it came out as, “Vasiliushko, move over here!” And so Vasiliushko moved over there, took her by her white hands, and led her off to another church, and there having asked the priest they were married, he and this girl. And then the mother, and the son’s mother, too, were displeased by this as he had not asked the mother but had just taken her and got married in the church.
