ABSTRACT

There lived and dwelt this grandfather and his woman. They went into the forest after mushrooms and found a little duck. And that duck was crooked-legged. So they took it and brought it home. At home they left it until the next day, and then they went off again after mushrooms, and they made a duck nest for the little duck out of feathers. And the duck turned into a little girl and she swept the hut for them and carried water and baked pies. Well, the old man and woman came home and said, “Who has done all this for us?”
