ABSTRACT
Early in October 1930, the special magistrate trying the Lahore Conspiracy Case pronounced his judgment. Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, and Sukhdev were sentenced to death; the other conspirators were sentenced to prison for periods ranging from three to twenty years. Shyama and I attended the conspiracy case trial every day. Public sympathy was with these young men, and Bhagat Singh was our hero.
