An Indicative Forecast of Station Area Development in the Washington, D.C., Region

LOCDEV's estimated equations, their residuals, and constraints and forecasts of independent variables drawn from the ITLUP model were used to forecast 1990 development levels around station areas. The forecast is presented here, followed by discussions of the independent variables, the constraining process, and the overall quality of the LOCDEV forecast; for a step-by-step guide to the LOCDEV forecasting procedure, see chapter 8.
