ABSTRACT
Just over one-third of the energy segment of the Communication, Energy and Paperworkers Union (CEP) is composed of members who previously belonged to company unions or to independent local unions formed from company unions. We have certified them steadily over the past twentyfive years. At the moment, they are predominantly from Petro-Canada and Imperial Oil, but also from Shell, Gulf (which was purchased by PetroCanada), and the megaproject Suncor.
