ABSTRACT

Some people believe that interviewing is a skill they need only for a job search. Not so. As a college student you may need to interview an expert for informa-tion for a term paper. You may be interviewed for your scholarship application or an internship. If you decide to go to graduate or law school, there are usually entrance interviews. If you are a human resources, media, or health careers major, a great part of your professional life will involve your being responsible for planning and conducting interviews. If you want to be an effective communicator, part of your package will include good interviewing skills as both an interviewer and interviewee.1
