ABSTRACT

After the speech is prepared, it must be presented to the audience. The delivery has two components: the oral and the physical aspects.

Speakers who capture their listeners’ attention are likely to share certain qualities: confidence, ease, authority, conviction, credibility, sincerity, warmth, animation, enthusiasm, vitality, intensity, concern, and empathy. They also make effective use of eye contact, conversational tone, and a variety of pitch, pacing, projection, and phrasing.
