ABSTRACT

Mynors, like his predecessor Hirtzel in the Oxford series, did not care to record M here. So we must be grateful that we can rely more on Conte in the wake of the great Italian editors Sabbadini and Geymonat, all the more so because omnes can for good reasons be regarded as the superior variant: omnis to go with quos lacks substance, but even the latest editors, Conte and Rivero et al. prefer this.
