ABSTRACT

Sometimes the crack can literally be a wound and is called as the Wounded Knight syndrome. In movies, as in real life, two people do not always fall in love at the same time. It is a kind of like orgasm. Simultaneous is good. Ivanhoe is a classic Wounded Knight story. In medieval times, Ivanhoe returns home after being banished, and disguises himself as the anonymous "Black Knight". He is mortally wounded in a jousting tournament. Rescued by the beautiful Jewess, Rachel, who has him carried to her father's home where she nurses him back to life. And once again, while she tends to his broken body, she falls into that fracture, that opening in his symbolic armor, and by the time he regains consciousness, she is in love with him. And as Ivanhoe struggles to revive, he looks up to see this beautiful angel of mercy ministering to his wounded flesh and he falls for her as well.
